Biography
Dr Eva Hevia studied at the Universidad de Oviedo (Spain) gaining a 1st class MSci honours degree in Chemistry in 1998 and receiving her PhD in (Cum Laude) in Chemistry in 2002 under the supervision of Professor Victor Riera and Dr Julio Perez in the field of the organometallic chemistry of rhenium and manganese (I) carbonyl compounds.
In February 2003 she joined Professor Mulvey’s research group at the University of Strathclyde as a Posdoctoral Fellow.
In November 2003 she was awarded a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship to continue her work at Strathclyde.
She returned to Universidad de Oviedo in March 2006 holding a prestigious Ramon y Cajal fellowship but resigned in November 2006 to take up a Royal Society University Research Fellowship (URF) at Strathclyde where she has been appointed as a lecturer.
